i went to the local hospital here. it was so crowded & scary looking.
sorta like out of the movies you see a clinic in a small town. dirty.
there was probably like 1000 people there. patients probably like 100.
i don't know what the other 900 people were doing there.
my sister in law & i decided its not a good idea so we went to a different hospital.
this one is a french/vietnamese one. it was a million times better. almost looked like a hospital back home & everything was clean. the staff were pleasent, the nurse was not bad looking either! she took my vitals as soon as i got in. the ONLY thing that was odd was they didn't wear gloves when they were treating my wounds. which was odd.
all they did was remove my old bandages & cleaned up the wounds & stuck new ones on. i wanted to go to have a doctor look at it JUST in case.
$88 USD later i was off on my way.
if i was a vietnamese citizen. i would've been $44.
i have a bunch of pictures i need to upload from SaPa & Halong Bay. haven't gotten around to that much because of the accident. i'm not in real pain. just discomfort. the hand wound is the deepest & hurts the most. looking back, would i take the accident back?
dont think so.
the ride was amazing. i saw some amazing things & met some interesting people.
i still beleive the best way to see SaPa is by motorcycle.
just be a little careful, word of advice :)
today is my last day in Hanoi until Aug 1st. tomorrow i fly to Da Nang for 2 days until the 14th. the 14th i'll be in Na Trang @ VINPEARL for a week.
looking back at my time in Hanoi i enjoyed my time here. i didn't really do any of the regular tourist sight seeing stuff besides SaPa & Ha Long Bay. it was very nice just relaxing & adjusting to daily life here. i say daily life here, but its all subjective. my sister in laws family is well off here. the vast majority of the population is very poor.
